Baby rice and other delights
Yes, the time has come for solid food for our little girl. Having been sleeping pretty well before we went to Cornwall, F has now taken to waking up in the middle of the night again and guzzling boobie juice. So, I'm preparing myself for weeks of mushing various fruits and vegetables in an attempt to get her to sleep through the night!
Our first effort wasn't particularly successful. F pulled a face very similar to the one I pull if I eat something too sharp... not impressed. In fact, most of the slop was pushed out with her little tongue. Thankfully, I'm not stressing as I did with O as I know it's just a matter of time before she'll be scoffing mini cheddars like the rest of us. (Whoops, I've just revealed what an evil mother I am letting my son eat hydrogenated-fat-soaked mini cheddars.)
Other news...
We had a fab week in Cornwall and really didn't want to leave. We had the option to stay an extra night with N's aunt and incredibly un-PC husband and their pals - they were just starting their holiday as we left. We bottled it in the end - it promised to be a late night as said relatives enjoy their grog and, as the only people there with children, we had visions of a sleepless night. Still, one day we'll be able to do spontaneous things again!
The naming ceremony for the kids is a mere ten days or so away and we still haven't written a word of it! Heck. No doubt it will all come together in time. Which reminds me, I must order the cake!
Must dash as I've got to mix up more baby slop before going to pick O up from nursery. Then it's baby jabs for F and coil check-up for me this afternoon. Oh the joys of being a full-time mum. At least I might get to see a bit of the Murray match at Wimbledon...!
